Project: Nathan Bransford

The face of a man who, quite simply, *requires* Tart-grilling.

Look around you. You see oranges, vegetables, and an overwhelming sense of gravitas, do you not? I urge you to keep that sensibility in mind as you read further. 😉

Peeps, June 3 and 10th of this year I will have the pleasure of airing an interview with Nathan Bransford on Writer Unboxed.

If you don’t read Nathan’s blog and you have writing aspirations, you’re missing out. Nathan is a former agent for Curtis Brown, soon-to-be author of JACOB WONDERBAR AND THE COSMIC SPACE KAPOW, and considered a guru within the industry.

Most of my questions are already in the pipe, but with Nathan’s blessing, I want to give you an opportunity to shape the interview. If you could ask him one thing, what would it be?

  • An issue related to self-publishing?
  • More about him as a person?
  • What he really thinks about Jonathan Franzen?

Place your zesty comments in the space below and then, if you’re inclined, pass the link on to fellow writers. Let’s see what you and the power of Vitamin C can do together.

  1. Oh my goodness — you lucky girl! I can’t wait for the interview. You’re right — his blog is not to be missed. I would love to know more about him as a person, and if he’s had any revelations about being an agent now that’s he on the writer’s side of things.

  2. Oh, I left a comment at the WU FB group post too, but I’m wondering what’s different now that he’s not an agent, both that he expected and didn’t expect. 🙂 Good luck!

  3. I’d like to know how he gets so much out of his allotted 24 hours. I mean, he does all of those things AND appears to have a life outside of work. I’m guessing maybe he made a deal with some timelord somewhere. If so, maybe he could get a group discount for the rest of us? 🙂

  4. What a coup for you! Very impressive, my friend! I don’t suppose you’d ask him to dance naked for us… you know… a sister tart type favor… *cough*

And if he won’t do that, maybe to ease our pain, he’d predict where he sees publishing going…

  5. Oooh, can I ask more than one question? I’d like to know what he thinks the most important thing is that a debut author should be doing in the first few weeks after her book comes out. Also, if he could invite any 6 writers, living or dead, over to have drinks and watch tv, who would he choose and what would they watch?
