So, I have an announcement to make that’s going to disappoint some of you. The image to the left is my way of making a bitter pill more sweet.
After a great deal of reflection and angst, I have to come realize I need to back off of blogging. While I love everything about making Tartitude — finding “art”, finding words, the sense of community I felt we were developing — making a blog post takes a fair bit of time and resources. Quite frankly, those belong with my neglected work-in-progress. It’s for that reason I will publish the four posts still in the wings, and then exit stage left.
And if you believed the thrust of the above impassioned paragraphs, may I suggest you don’t know The Tart very well.* 😉
Happy April Fool’s day, peeps!!!
Go on. *nudge nudge* How many of you did I get? You can select more than one option in the poll below.
*The first clue should have been the concept of me being four posts ahead. Please.

You had me there, since I’ve read other blog posts of writers taking blog breaks.
But the picture buffered the faux bad news.
As usual, I believed it. *smacks self in head*
Medeia, he’s a reprisal from about eight months ago. A favorite. 😉
Dee, don’t feel bad. I’d forgotten the day’s significance myself until I went to AW and saw the titles on the message board. You are just an honest person at heart; that’s a wonderful state of existence.
I was perplexed because I know you LOVE the community we’ve developed. So if you did need a break, you’d cut back on posts, not quit altogether, so I didn’t buy it. 🙂
Hope,
I’m easily fooled, so my heart sank! I am one of those that reads very few blogs, let’s say two, yours and Charli’s….so I wasn’t happy for that second it took me to scroll down and find out it was your way of pulling a fast one on me. LOL I look forward to reading your blogs!!!
Happy April Fool’s Day!!!
Jody 😀
I’m just wanting to see more of what’s behind that glass..
Glad you’re staying..
Jess, your skepticism is warranted. Barring something completely unforseen, that’s exactly what I’d do — cut back, not quit. And I’m glad you feel part of this community.
Jody, hee. Hope you can forgive me. 😉 Not everyone thinks April Fool’s jokes are fun. I figure I can probably do this only once, so why not go for it?
Sugar, I don’t think you’re the only one. 😉 And thank you! Me too. 🙂
You naughty thing!
And you too, Hope. LOL
I was so totally distracted by the visual aid, it didn’t really hit me what you were saying until I got to the April Fool’s part. LOL Thank goodness my brain was a couple steps behind!
I’m glad you’re staying around. 🙂 And it wouldn’t break my heart if your um, mascot, stopped by more often too!
Also, I think it’s a testament to my ridiculous adoration of my hubs, but shower dude got a cursory glance, nose sniff, and “ew” as I scampered on to reading the post.
Aren’t I cute and innocent like that? Yes. Yes I am.
Boy, you had me going for a minute there. I’m too gullible for words – Monica Burns REALLY got me.
Donna, glad you enjoyed him. Sometimes a person has to stick with a classic. 😉
Jess, LOL, even though I’m Canadian, I think I’ll plead the Fifth on that comment.
Becke, what did Monica do? I’m off to FB to find out.
There was a blog entry next to the picture? Really? Gee, I didn’t notice. Wonder where my mind was at?
Cleaning products. I’m certain it was cleaning products.
You’re cruel. Have I mentioned this? 🙂
But you like it, don’t you. 😉 Great to see you, sputnitsa! Hope life is treating you well.
I have missed you! Need to get internet hooked up at home. Why does everything cost money? 🙂
